CPIA (Centro Provinciale Istruzione Adulti) is a state school for adult, a centre for adult continuing education. The school offers courses to obtain the lower secondary school diploma (students from the age of 16 onwards can enroll); literacy and Italian language courses for foreigners (these courses are open to adult of working age and in possession of a residency permit). The school promotes flexible teaching and learning, recognition of prior learning and intercultural education.
Native language: Italian.
I am fluent in English (I lived, studied and worked in UK for 8 years) and in Spanish (I studied Spanish and I lived in Spain for two years).
I would like to establish contacts with other teachers, professionals working in the field of teaching modern languages in order to exchange ideas, collaborate together.
I have been teaching for many years, both in Italy and in UK, at different school level and to different age group. I have an MA in Applied Linguistics and I did for two years a PhD in Second Language Acquisition.
At the moment I am attending courses on ICT and teaching.
I have taken part to many e-Twinning projects with my students, to the European educational project Video for All (http://videoforall.eu/home-page-2/partners/associate-and-network-partners/). I have realized a project on blogging in English with my students (http://beelinetotheworld.blogspot.it/).
