The school where I taught is a State language school where seven languages are offered in the curriculum (English, French, German, Spanish, Arabic, Chinese and Japanese). There are about 1.500 students. Despite all these languages, there has never been a real pluri- and multilingual syllabus. The school is very well equipped, provides class exchanges, CLIL activities and takes part in European competitions (Juvenes Translatores). Currently I am working at the International Relations Office at
English: C1 level.
German: B2 level
As in my job I have to provide seminars, train and coordinate language teachers in Lombardy, this might be a good opportunity to take part in a very interesting project that fosters plurilingualism and interculturality and spread it among teachers in my region.
I have been an English teacher for more than 30 years and gained some experience as a teacher trainer for language associations, CLIL teachers and universities. Educational material writer for some publishing houses. My aim would be to spread the matrix among language teachers in Lombardy, working with the most motivated on a piloting project to be carried out in some schools in order to experiment one of the language environments.
I’d like to share knowledge with European colleagues, acquire new competences and learn how to plan and design plurilingual and intercultural syllabi.
