City: Freiburg im Breisgau
Address: Runzstraße 83, 79102 Freiburg im Breisgau
School: Franco-German school
The Franco-German school is made up of a bi-national and multicultural community which benefits from a special status created and consolidated by a friendly agreement between France and Germany in 1963. Being in close contact to German and French teachers alike, the students profit from both educational systems.
We, the parents, pupils and teachers, come from many different countries, not only from Europe but from around the whole world. Nevertheless, it is certainly not a disadvantage for us:
- Ma langue maternelle est le français.
- Ich wohne in Deutschland und meine Kolleg-innen sind Deutsche und Franzosen. Meine Frau ist Deutsche :-)
- I can teach physics and chemistry in English (certification complémentaire DNL en anglais)
At the Franco-German Secondary School in Freiburg (DFG-LFA) I have run a Science Slam very successfully for the last few years and have decided this year to take it a step further, rename in "DupleX" and include a second, non-scientific discipline.
This project is for European pupils and European scientists in French, in German and in English.
I teach physics and chemistry since 2002.
- since 2009: Lycée franco-allemand, Fribourg-en-Brisgau (Germany)
-2006-2009 : Lycée, Romainville (France)
-2004 - 2006: Lycée Pasteur, Lagos (Nigeria)
-2003-2004: Lycée, Brest (France)
-2002-2003: Collège Djibouti (Djibouti)
"Soirée DupleX": an on-stage scientific challenge for students and scientists with presentations of interdisciplinary topics, alternating between 2 languages in under 10 minutes.
Network and Informations (Fr/De/En):
I want to join the EOL network in the hope of developing a future partnership between different schools and different universities.
